Application

Enrollment at Victoria Montessori includes a visit to our school either via our yearly Open House or a personal tour.  We discuss the parents' child care needs, set educational expectations and determine commitments in order to help ensure a good fit for the child.

Each prospective child will receive a 20 minute visit, which gives the child an opportunity  to explore the classroom, meet the children and the teachers.

Please be aware that any spots that come up throughout the year are offered to multiple families on our waitlist as we do not enroll on a "first come first serve basis"  but rather best fit.

A good fit is based on a few things: parents understand the basic philosophy of the Montessori education, your child can independently use the toilet, your child does not suffer under severe separation anxiety, your child is able to be in a larger classroom without feeling extremely overwhelmed, your child can listen to simple instructions and directions, and your child enjoys spending time in our classroom during her/his visit.

The monthly fee includes field trips and other events. It does not include a non refundable application fee of $75.00. Upon enrollment of your child a deposit of $200.00 is required. This non refundable deposit will be applied towards your first month payment.

Although we wish to keep the fees as low as possible, parents should expect a small yearly increase. Tuition in Montessori schools may be higher than other schools because of the extensive materials, encompassing environment, curriculum and trained staff.

Victoria Montessori Preschool is approved, and is happy to extend the new Child Care Reduction Fee (CCRF). The fees below include the reduction.

We have decided to make a major change in our operation starting in the 2024/2025 school year. We will no longer offer a 5pm program, but will only be operating from 8-3. We have seen such positive changes in children when switching from an 8-5 to an 8-3 schedule, and this can not be ignored. We understand that this might not be possible for all of our families, and therefore, the school year 2023/2024 will be a transition year, still operating until 5pm.
